Faith Formation

Sunday School
Sunday School is offered on Sunday mornings from 9AM to 9:55AM for children ages 3 years through 5th grade. The classes are held in the education wing, up the stairs from the lounge during the academic year. Each year the Sunday School presents a Christmas Program. Come and join the fun! Contact Amber Sherrod, Sunday School Coordinator, at asherrod82@me.com for more information.

First Communion Preparation
First Communion preparation generally takes place during the Lenten season with 1st communion taking place during the Maundy Thursday/Last Supper Service at 7PM. The class is geared toward the student at a 5th grade level (children at the discretion of their parents may participate at a younger age). Call the church office or email stmark@stmarkcares.org for more information or to register your child.

Confirmation
Confirmation is geared for students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades. The students meet on Wednesdays from September thru May from 5:45PM to 7PM following the Academic/School Schedule.  Confirmation classes are taught with multiple styles of teaching to help give an array of different learning styles for opportunities for the students to excel in their preferred style of learning. After completing two years and two months in the Confirmation program, students affirm their faith publicly on Reformation Sunday, which is the last Sunday of October. To register call the church office or email tfisher@stmarkcares.org.
